<HTML>Sorry, Mikey.
I happen to LIKE John Edward. I've read his first book, and found it to be fascinating.
I've sat through his readings on television dozens of times, and he has NEVER given a description that would have prompted ME to stand up and say, "Hey, that's my ______________ (fill in appropriate name for dead relative)". His details seem to be VERY pointed at times... even to describing hidden jewelry or momentos that people have brought with them to the show.
He did an AMAZING reading for the relatives of Ricky Nelson... with his back turned to them so he never knew who it was. He picked out a VERY special even that had happened AT Madison Square Garden... where he had been on-stage and received a standing ovation from the audience... he just picked that out of the air... and it was a VERY poignant, significant time for Ricky Nelson... he had been booed off the stage his first time at MSG, but on his second visit, he received a HUGE ovation just for coming back to the Garden.
I'm sorry... but that's AWFULLY specific for a guy who had received NO prior information about whom he would be reading... nor could he see the people to get feedback in any way.
And that's just one of DOZENS of things I've seen this guy do in the last couple months.
I could go on, but you get the point. This guy has reinforced a worldview I have formulated about the energies that co-habitate our physical space while we are "alive". He really does seem to get these messages, Mikey. And NOBODY is as skeptical as I. There is a point, however, where skepticism becomes pigheaded... don't you agree?
