The History Channel documentary (on the YouTube link) was based on a hoax text dating to the early 20th century, the
Vaimanika Shastra (as explained in the Wiki link). The point is that the History Channel documentary producers didn't seem to know about the hoax text.
The
Rigveda dates to somewhere between 1700–1100 BC.
