Sorry but you can't get more pathetic than this. There are only a couple of geologists in the world who are creationists and, guess what, they started out as creationists before they entered university and only did so so as to gain a qualification and appear to look like they are "speaking from authority".

West recognises that geology is a hard science but he is wanting to give the appearance of it being a science whose members disagree strongly on even the most basic of matters - something which is incorrect.

His mentions of creationists disgusts me.
