<HTML>Hi Garrett
Thanks for this. In fact, the only accounts I have read about the age of Tiwanaku are your articles on this site, as well as GH's description, and I have watched 'The Mysterious Origins of Man'. I wasn't making a point on the age of Tiwananku, although as a throw away comment I thought that Rivera and Steede were dating it on the basis of astromonical alignments rather than gut-feel.
I was making a point about the research qualities of GH. Now personally I'm not over impressed from what I can see. However, I think if the charge is that GH dates Tiwanaku only on the basis of the outdated superceded source of Posnansky, then it is worth a sentence mentioning that GH also quotes the more recent and credible source of the Head of Bolivian Archaeology and an 'independent' archaeologist too. This is a matter of fairness to my mind :-)
Now there is something missing in the story of Rivera - why did he resign? Isn't he an archaeologist? Also on Neil Steede - I've done a brief recce on him on the web - but couldn't find much, although I think he does have an agenda. Also GH's references in Heaven's Mirror are wholly inadequate. Irrespective of this though, and the actual date of Tiwanaku, it is not proper to charge GH with only using ONE out of date source on this issue, since he also quotes modern ones. That was the only point I was making - not especially profound, but worth a quick post I thought ~lol~
