Irna, I will announce your new geology report on the APWR Central blog, if that's OK?
To repeat once more – Semir Osmanagic and his Foundation did and continue to exploit the ignorance and the emotional vulnerability of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian people for their own profit. But Semir Osmanagic and his Foundation are not the only ones responsible for creating the atmoshpere which made this kind of fraud possible. There were and still are other people involved who are responsible for sustaining that atmosphere, either actively, as participants, or passively, keeping silent and refusing to do the right thing.
Over the months, we have tried to create an uproar in the academic community – remember the letter to UNESCO? This forum and particularly Kat had a great role in the success of that letter. We also have numerous web sites (forums, blogs, photo galleries) dealing with the pyramid-charade and exposing it. But that is not enough. Why?
If you go to the Foundation web site [
www.piramidasunca.ba] , the Bosnian language version, and look up for the news update from July 27, titled (translation) Dr. Robert Schoch And Dr. Colette Dowell Come To Visoko, you will also find that on the same day Semir Osmanagic (quote translation) „had a meeting with the director of contracting agency for USAID dr. David King and deputy director Mr. Jusuf Tanovic. Information was exchanged in relation to the activities of USAID and the Foundation, as well as possibilities of future cooperation.“
You will not find this particular information in the English version of the Foundation web site.
USAID, [
www.usaid.gov] , is the United States Agency for International Development: „USAID's history goes back to the Marshall Plan reconstruction of Europe after World War Two and the Truman Administration's Point Four Program. In 1961, the Foreign Assistance Act was signed into law and USAID was created by executive order.
Since that time, USAID has been the principal U.S. agency to extend assistance to countries recovering from disaster, trying to escape poverty, and engaging in democratic reforms.“ Or visit the USAID web site of their mission in Bosnia: [
www.usaid.ba] .
So, is the US tax payers dollar going to finance the pyramid fraud in Bosnia as assistance to a country recovering from war and trying to escape poverty?
All I am saying is this: if certain people – who witnessed all the manipulation by Osmanagic first hand and who have their own share of responsibility in sustaining the atmosphere for this fraud – are really that outraged by the cynicism, profiteering and cheating surrounding it, perhaps they should do a bit more than publishing a couple of articles on their homepages or online alternative bulletins. Otherwise their outrage and gullibility confessions looks like very insulting hypocrisy.
