With all due respect, Warwick, in your discernment you missed the most important thing, something that comes before educating the general public and rectifying the damage done to the study of Bosnian history.

For any such process to begin on solid ground, first the participants and contributors to this pyramid-mania should face their responsibilities. Instead of acting victims, like Colette Dowell and Robert Schoch, for example. We all know how their attitude in June and July this year contributed to reinforce the Bosnian public conviction that Osmanagic's theories are credible, despite all the red flags that were there. I find it preposterous that Dowell now complains about being „schmoozed“ in Visoko, when she and Schoch were clearly warned of how their visit to Bosnia is being interpreted in the media and what kind of treatment they can expect. They knew what their visit meant in Bosnia before they set a foot in it, and now they pretend otherwise. The question is, why they chose to disregard all the red flags and such a letter of warning in July this year? Because it was not in the same tune that they were humming back then, along Sammy The Gentle Voice? Or because it was written by a Bosnian, and not by an *objective* and *reasonable* Westerner? In the world where I was educated and brought up, it's called hypocrisy [apwr-central.blog.com] .

But, by all means let us begin rectifying. Colette Dowell recently writes [www.robertschoch.net] :

„Interestingly enough, we were taken away from Visoko the day the High Representative of BiH, Christian Schwarz-Schilling arrived as to not be in the area to answer any of his questions. Schilling never did meet us to ask us directly about the nature of our investigations and opinions -- or let’s say proof concerning the pyramids. Schilling was only there for 2 hours to witness Semir's presentation. Then reports are posted all over stating Schilling walks away speaking about the ‘Experts’ saying “If they think that this is natural, they should prove It.” What a dumb set up that was; the geology could have been explained in less than 15 minutes. Semir made sure we were out of town so we would not meet Schilling and the other investors and politicians to hear our say and scientifically explain the ‘IT IS NOT A PYRAMID’ factor. We found it to be too obvious when we were deliberately removed from Visoko after Semir knew we did not agree with his claims.“

So, this happened in August. September, October, November – why do we hear about this only now, close to December?? Has it ever occured to Schoch and Dowell that they could be the ones to contact the Office of the High Representative [www.ohr.int] instead of waiting like prima donnas to be approached and asked for opinion?? Has it ever occured to Schoch and Dowell to contact their own US State Department and report how foreign officials in Bosnia are being duped and manipulated?? Has it ever occured to Schoch and Dowell to approach any of the Bosnian or foreign media and tell them this particular story??

Any adult, mature and responsible person who played a role in a charade like this would know what they need to do in order to „educate“ and „rectify“. Because Osmanagic did not do all of this himself, did he? It would not have been possible for him to do so without the help – gullible or not – of others. So, it's very obvious what needs to be cleared up before any educating and rectifying can begin – and that is certainly not producing Osmanagic into the sole Big Bad Wolf while playing Poor Gullible Me victim.
