It suggests that the script originiates or is similar to the 'early' or pr-” hieroglyphic writing of ancient Egypt” is this a fact according to you?
And what are the specific characteristics that typify “Chinese civilization” ?
I just wonder lets say if the discovered pottery bearing inscriptions dating back 4,500 years somewhere on German territory today , if they would announce it as one of the birthplaces of “GERMAN civilization” make that ‘Dutch, Danish, or Austrian “Civilization”?
I mean why not one of the birthplaces of civilization in Asia, or giving the fact that the Mongols started what is now called China….(oke I know this is getting a to dangerous subject* now).
In fact I assure you that any newspaper or publication that would even make such a hint about ‘Mongols’ or/and their refashioning* in Chinese history, would 2006, immediately be closed down in China. It happened just a few months ago when a Chinese historian made some well needed corrections to some of the facts about the boxer rebellion, the publishing co that published was immediately closed down.
*See for example the chapter by Pamela Kyle Crossley “Making Mongols”(p.58-82 in “Empire At The Margins” 2006).
