I trust Greece was exuberant? I asked Bill Conklin just last year what the earliest known khipu was dated to...I believe he pointed to the Leymebamba site and circa 1000bc. I sent Kat his paper. Caral would be news to him, also. I looked for it, but only a vague abstravct in 'Science' which I couldn't access the article. A Caral khipu would push back its known use by 3000 years.
We went around this mulberry bush before and I was much more specific than a 'corded whatever'. Ross Clark was most helpful. Now that you're back, I'll send you out a draft along with that Olmec booklet.
