Although I suggested some identification of Horus the Elder with our group of stars that we call Scorpius, and stated the belief that he was a more ancient god than Horus-son-of-Isis, my beliefs are not set in stone.
I also stated,( in the new Chapter 13 regarding the decan 'rt) that he must be associated with one of the constellations that herald the rising of the sun, ( ie., those that we know as the zodiac)-- since we read in The Egyptian Book of The Two Ways: "I have come to thee, Horus-the-Elder, among those who open the firmament."(Piankoff, The Wandering of the Soul" pg.30).
But you are right in guessing that I am not familiar with the German research...which must be speculative too, must it not? Can you suggest the journals where I can familiarize myself with their work? At 75 I have tried to retire and focus on other things...such as travel to other places other than North Africa.
