<HTML>Derek/Greg:
You have shown absolutely nothing, except that modern day equipment that Ed Leedskalnin did not possess can lift blocks.
If I put up a photograph of a 200 ton, 600 horsepower diesel crane, does that mean that all other theories for pyramid construction are defunct, and it is up to everybody else to prove that their theory is correct, and the 200 ton crane stands as the solution?
Of course not... but that's what you are attempting to do here.
Ed's equipment is rated at the 10 ton range. At the top and maxed out. Yet that was only the AVERAGE size of a stone in the coral castle... and although the PULLEY was rated at 10 tons, it would have required Ed to provide 2.5 tons (about 5 METRIC tonnes) of force to operate it.
You have shown nothing with these photos, except that with modern materials and modern engineering, it MAY be possible for one person to do the work Ed did.
But with HIS cast iron equipment, 70 years ago, it just did not happen.
Plus, there's one other factor.
You are both completely forgetting the fingerprints LEFT by the machine. The fingerprints have been found on nearly every block in the castle. MOST especially on the 30-tonner and the obelisks. There is absolutely NO other explanation for these fingerprints, so they clearly show that either:
a. the technology was used
b. the technology was forged for some wild, unknown reason.
Now, if the technology was known to Ed well enough for him to FORGE the fingerprints, and it works (as Kat has attested to), then why bother using the block & tackle, which make the work a hundred times harder?
Illogical conclusions, gentlemen.
Chariots and Porsches.
Pyramids and diesel cranes.
If you are going to say that Ed's equipment was capable of building the Coral Castle, then YOU are offering this as your theory of how it was accomplished. If you are not willing to PROVE that it was how Ed did it, by calculating HIS equipment's capacities, then please retract your statement and remove from people's minds the idea that any of this is even remotely possible.
Because, in all honesty and with my word as a gentleman, it is not.
The onus is on you. Prove or Retract your theory.
