I'll just take a wild guess and say that Osiris's throne is actually symbolic of all of Egypt. You see the dark, furrowed or plowed fields of the 'black lands', the unimportant infertile red egypt (symolized by the box) sitting on top of a set of wiggly lines, that can only be symbolic for water. And when we think of water in Egypt what are we thinking of? That's right the Nile. Now what is coming out of the base of the throne? A lotus (lily?) the flower that is symbolic of rejuvenation. On the flower are the four children of Osiris. So you have Egypt, regeneration, and fertility all wrapped up in one beautifully symbolic picture. At least that's my interpretation of it.
