Having been both the researcher AND the psychic, I can say that the incidents of psi are not replicable (even by the same person) and that anomalies are often not correctly interpreted. A friend of mine is investigating voices on blank tape (you set the tape on record, ask a question, and if you turn the volume up loud enough and listen hard you can sometimes hear ghostly words.) I had him do an experiment on this (where there was something he heard as a sound and a question that had no response) and everyone who listened to it (without being told what Thomas heard) heard something different and at a different point in the tape.

Having known a magician who could do this, I can say "yes, easily explained." It's one of those setups where a situation is forced that seems to be a complete coincidence.
