In fact 30 minutes perusing the sites with "face-on" pics was truly enlightening. Of some 12 statues measured 11 did NOT come withing PHI specs on the old 1.618...
Two came close, one of which was very close (1.60+).
Now, I could either
1) Trumpet the two that hit Phi proved they were aware of it,
2) Announce the 11 that didn't proves they were not aware of Phi,
3) Or theorize the study was a waste of my time because the sculptors spent ZERO time considering PHI ratios when carving heads in the late 2nd millennium.
Personally I believe #3. The long and the short is if I published everything that DIDN'T fit Phi the board would be overwhelmed. Sifting through to crow over the small sample that did would be disingenuous IF I didn't publish the 85% of the study that didn't meet parameters.
Just saying...
