DB has ridiculed these cubits as "of the wrong kingdom age",
but he has yet to explain why a society that respected tradition, and resisted change as much as ancient Egypt, would suddenly change it's entire approach to calculating a cubit and abandon, for no apparent reason, the Barone "Phi-Cubit", after so much success with it...

I contend their approach to calculating cubits did NOT change from the OK, to the MK, to the NK, that it was based on some specific digit measurement that changed with the ruler or the builders, and offer this hypothesis to explain actual observations of digit differences as well as Petrie's theorized finger-differentials.

That is a synopsis of what has transpired so far. While my hypothesis may well be proven wrong, it at LEAST encompasses the actual evidence we have recovered, as well as the societal belief system that would see as completely inappropriate using a "Khafre Cubit" to build a Djedefre pyramid...

Because like it or not, if it wasn't something like this, we must assume the later Egyptians couldn't even duplicate the cubit, and kept producing measuring rods of different lengths due to incompetence... and I know THAT can't be true.
