My goal here is to find out how the great pyramids had been built in the real world. If I believed that it were necessary to learn professional opinion to lead to this answer then I would learn what I could about professional opinion.

Obviously a 6 1/2 million ton edifice constructed by primitive means was going to have few similarities with a Sunday picnic. There will still be more questions to answer if we find out how it was made but the most awe inspiring facet of the work is the massive lifting. When this is solved it might come together like a big jig saw puzzle that had been upside down.

I don't talk about it much but there might be clues to other techniques as well once the concept of motive force is accepted.

The "Utterances of Unas" were written in part by those who built the great pyramids. They were written by people who developed the means by which the great pyramids were built. To simply lay aside the literal meanings of all these words just might be insulting to them. Even if they really are "mere" spells it would still be a disservice to the authors and the culture to not consider the meanings of the words; then we can discount them. In the meantime though it's still possible that the meaning is literal.
