Problem is, Jacob, that there are no such things as 22/7 and 14/11 sekeds, therefore this controversy does not actually exist.
According to the Egyptian Mathematical Papyri a seked was one royal cubit rise to X palms run.
It would appear from actual measurements of the Pyramid that its intended seked was 5 1/2 - i.e. 1 royal cubit rise to 5 1/2 palms run.
I consider it possible that the seked was seen also as 7 palms rise to X palms run and 28 digits rise to X digits run.
The latter I find particularly interesting because actual measurements suggest that the intended height and half-length of the base of Khufu's pyramid was 280rc and 220rc respectively.
In other words, the intended height and half-base of the Pyramid are in royal cubits ten times the number of digits in the rise and run of seked 5 1/2.
As I see it there is simply no need to invoke anything else.
Occam's Razor, and all that.

p.s. Khufu's pyramid (nor the other two or three pyramids with seked 5 1/2) does not "square the circle".
"Squaring the circle" means constructing a square with the same area as a given circle (which is impossible actually), it does not mean turning a circle into a square.
In idiomatic english "squaring the circle" means to try and achive the impossible.
