No definitely not that site, it was a quite small temple, in which all that was left was scattered and broken blocks.
The 3D scanning made light work of the jigsaw puzzle. Menkaures casing stones should for the most part be relatively simple.
Even fractured blocks that have been cleaved should be easily put back together by the software, which can match fracture planes.
Scanning the bedding joints should also match which block goes where.
Certainly in an ornate temple such as Palmyra, there might be limitations in reconstruction, but at Menkaure we are looking at relatively simple material.
We have quite a lot of scattered casing stones around Khafres pyramid, maybe they should test their procedures on that pyramid first and restore as much of that lower course.
