There's a passing reference on this French site: [

<< Jean-Philippe Lauer, comme la plupart des égyptologues, donne à la coudée – l’étalon métrologique utilisé en Egypte à cette époque par les bâtisseurs de pyramides géantes – la valeur de 0,5235 m, sans même se questionner sur la haute précision de cet étalon, 27 siècles avant notre ère : au dixième de millimètre, pour un édifice dépassant tout de même 230 mètres de côté et 146 mètres de hauteur >> [Jean-Philippe Lauer, like most Egyptologists, gives the cubit – the metrological standard used in Egypt at that time by the builders of giant pyramids – the value of 0.5235 m, without even questioning the high precision of this standard, 27 centuries before our era: to the tenth of a millimeter, for a building still exceeding 230 meters on a side and 146 meters in height ... ]
Apparently, the work consulted was Jean-Philippe Lauer, Le problème des pyramides d’Egypte, Payot 1948 - Paris, which I haven't been able to access anywhere.
(As I understand t, the length of the cubit might have varied slightly from location to location: which could be why cubit lengths are sometimes found painted at various sites.)
