Mention is made (14:00) of Hawass and Lehner's 2017 book, at the end of which doubts are stated about whether the scan project would really find evidence of significant structural voids in a construction largely composed of more or less solid stone.
The video concludes by reporting claims that the new process will be able to distinguish the constituent substance of which the objects in the hitherto unknown cavitiy (the "Big Void") within the GP are made. It finishes by suggesting that Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities should see the scan exercise as "exciting science," an "opportunity to promote Egypt's history to the world."
We shall see what emerges from the latest scientific findings, and what the (science and archaeology) experts make of it.
(Could someone tell me why the channel's called History
for Granite? Surely it should be History
