It's been a dream of blast furnace operators for millennia to see what's going on inside the furnace. All that's known is that to get a proper product you have to put in the right materials in the proper amounts and keep everything as steady as possible. They were trying gravimetric for some years but I believe this fell through. Muon won't be able to see the process inside but it would give an excellent picture of the refractory albeit somewhat after the fact. This is still valuable because it will save on repair and grouting costs.
