Thanks for the info, something that has passed me by. Certainly needs more research, and I guess this new find of extensive and well preserved examples will help.
I found this paper of the article you quoted after entering the search term "sinusoidal" instead of "wavy" or "zigzag" doh!

After reading it I'm still searching for a meaning and if there is any link between the MK walls and usage in this late 18th Dynasty setting.
