Hi kanga.

I have begun a study of First Dynasty tombs looking for the phi ratio and came upon this thread Now I don't know about you but I was curious on why it and others which I will check soon, deviated so far from true north. I think I have found the answer. I think it has to do with the slope of future passageways in the pyramids which always seems to be very close to 26.565 degrees which is half the base angle in a 3, 4 and 5 sided triangle. It is my contention that before pyramids were being built the builders oriented their tombs (at least this one) to reflect the sacred angle of 26.565 as this is the slope angle which allows phi to not only be found but actually be drawn. I have a program which allows me to turn an image to any degree I wish and then allows me to know what the deflection angle is. on this particular image I stared with 18 degrees and that was not nearly enough so then I went to 28 degrees to reflect the number of degrees that the sun journeys during the seasons in Egypt but this was too much and then I knew I had it and set the program to turn the image 26.565 degrees. Well it wasn't exact (26.33) but then how do we know how accurate the drawing is to actually what is there and precisely where north was in 3000 BC.

Here is a video I made showing the deflection being turned . Only about 2:00 minutes even

[youtu.be]

This is very, very revealing because it appears that even at this very ancient date and the very beginning of Egyptian Civilization they were alreay incorporating Phi in their belief for eternal life as actually showing the golden angle in the orientation of the tomb.

Very interesting and I don't think anyone has ever pointed this out before.

And here are other places they put the phi ratio in this structure.
