The first antechamber of the Red Pyramid, below the peak of the pyramid, is a model of the base square of the Red Pyramid.
The axes formed by the diagonals of the pyramid divide the perimeter of the antechamber into '8 x 40' palms.
The arris edges below these diagonals have a length of 360 cubits.
There is a division of 360 degrees into 8 x 45 degrees in this model.
The perimeter of the Red Pyramid at 1/8 x height of pyramid below peak is 1460 palms
At the half-height it is '4 x 1460' palms.
The perimeter of the base of the Red Pyramid is '8 x 1460' palms in my model.
A virtual projection to infinity below the base corresponds to an infinite number x 1460 palms.
The Egyptian calendar of 4 x 365 days or 1460 days is the key to the model with a clever integration of the numbers '360' and '365'.
The scale of the model of antechamber to base of the pyramid is 1 to 36.5 with a year of 365 days equal to 36.5 x Egyptian week of 10 days.
The conceptual length of 360 cubit for the arris edge defines the slope of the Red Pyramid. This requires the slope of the faces to be very close to the cotangent 100/99.
The Satellite Pyramid of the Bent Pyramid with a side length of 100 cubits projects a a circle with a circumference of 360 cubits within the base of the Bent Pyramid with sides of 360 cubits, so the squares of n x 1460 palms in the design of the Red Pyramid, formed by the arris edges of 360 cubits appear to be regarded in relation to a circle with 360 divisions, as befitting a repeating cycle of 4 x 365 days.
The slope of the Satellite Pyramid and the Red Pyramid are both very close to the cotangent 100/99 with the distance of the Satellite Pyramid (with a side length of 100 cubits) from the Bent Pyramid equal to 99 cubits as the line connecting the base square of both pyramids at the mid-point.
The Satellite Pyramid has a deliberate skew to the north-south axis connecting the centres of the Bent Pyramid and the Satellite Pyramid.
This was the model I presented on my website when I joined this forum over 10 years ago, now found to be borne out by the design of the Red Pyramid.
The proposed side length of 2 x 1460 palms for the base of the Red Pyramid is 219.08 metres divided 417.14285 cubits = 0.52519 metres = 20.677 inches per cubit = 20.68 inches.
Dorner surveyed the side length of the Red Pyramid as 219.08 metres.
This is a side length of 417 cubits plus 1 palm = 2920 palms = 2 x 1460 palms.
Petrie determined a mean cubit of 20.68 inches plus or minus 0.03 inches for the Bent Pyramid and the Satellite Pyramid so the same length as the cubit now apparent from the Red Pyramid.
Petrie was right again. As a technical surveyor he was brilliant. The intended side length of the Bent Pyramid was 360 cubits which is required for the model of a circle with a circumference of 360 cubits.
The antechamber of the Red Pyramid is 111.5 palms x 48.5 palms so the perimeter is 320 palms which has an elegant division in 8 x 40 palms from the diagonals of the pyramid at 45 degrees to the north-south and east-west axes.
8 x 45 degrees = 360 degrees with the arris edges of 360 cubits appearing on the diagonals in plan view.
