This doesn't seem to say the chamber was a shrine though, but that the chamber was left outside the shrine, and that Amasis dedicated works of similar magnitude to other shrines as well...

Are there any chapels built of single stones anywhere in Egypt that anyone knows of?

I don't think that's something I've seen elsewhere?
