Both of the photo's you provide in the previous post are quite remarkable, revealing features (seams) I never knew existed, as they are never addressed by anyone. Look at the Niche and the stones that form it, now look at the upper s-e corner of the eastern wall where the roofing stones meet the Niche stones. Remarkable because the same can be found to the north of the Niche at the same distance away, and it is there where you can faintly see an angle that matches the roof angle to the south of the Niche. Essentially what you see is a former "gable" centered above the Niche that was abandoned to extent the eastern wall north, thus the original roof was extended higher and the chamber extended (north) wider.

Very interesting and more supportive of an earlier structure that the Nich belonged to.
