IMHO ...The Goal was allways the same. they were dealing with te4h same traditions and beliefs. But as much as those beliefs were entrenched from earliest times (elemental in basis) they morphed on an almost continual basis. Whether each differernce was to to whim, differeing demands, variations in available time labour and resources...
Seti I's tomb, & Unas' & Khufu's are all as similar as they are different

Form the earliest Mastaba to the latter day Rock cut tombs. the funerary arrangements of Kings has stayed the same as much as it has changed.
