How about:
Meidum was started by Huni but he died before it was complete.
Sneferu aquired the site for his own use and tried to improve on what was already there.
He didn't like the outcome and decided to have an entirely new pyramid at Dahshur.
Structural problems at Dahshur (Bent) caused concerns about longevity of the pyramid.
Sneferu orders a new pyramid (South or Red) to be built at Dahshur.
