Hello Ronald,
My approach to how the AEs planned Khufu's pyramid has been one of: keep it simple.
I can get from a 10rc square and a seked 5.5 to the entire plan of Khufu's pyramid (including the coffer) using only basic arithmetic and linear geometry.
No square roots, no circles, no Golden Section [Phi], no geodetic or astronomic data etc., just plain addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and the drawing of squares, rectangles and right-angled triangles.
Does this mean that square roots, circles, Phi, etc., etc., were not used in the planning of Khufu's pyramid?
Not at all, it just means it could have been done without them.
IMO what Jim sees here is nothing more than the natural product of something far, far simpler - in other words what Jim has found was not (again IMO) intended by the Pyramid's designer.
So far, I have been able to use my hypothesis to explain away, so to speak, all hypotheses on the design of Khufu's pyramid that require the AEs using maths and or geometry beyond basic arithmetic and simple linear geometry.
Please understand that, again, I am not saying square roots, circles, Phi, etc., etc., were not used in the planning of Khufu's pyramid, only that it could have been done without them.
I hope this goes some way to answering your pertinent question.
Regards,
MJ
p.s. no variable length or 'sacred' cubits involved either, only the royal cubit of 524mms.
