Hey Clive,
That depends on your perspective, An example would be: [www.opencheops.org] this picture posted by Don Barone in a previous thread. Notice the termination point for the shadow of Menkure around sunset falling on the NE corner of the enclosure wall. Though not yet proven, it would seem possible the shadow of Menkure created by the arc of the sun, at a particular time of year, summer solstice maybe, could follow a straight-line path along the enclosure wall from NW corner at sunrise to NE corner at sunset.
