There are two mountains very near the Nile in the
northern Sudan which have been active in the last
12,000 years and could be the source of the "efflux
of Osiris".

Perhaps of greater interest there are mountains
WITHIN the Nile drainage basin which are active NOW
and are carbonating Lake Kivu NOW. The rise of these
mountains Would have tilted and emptied the aquifers.
These aquifers could have been heavily carbonated
just as is Lake Kivu.
