It's an interesting concept.

The windlass is really a little simpler than the wheel since
the axle is stationary. It would imply the wheel might have
evolved from this rather than rollers, but this presents no
real problem. They used drills so this would effectively be
a large drill used for pulling rather than boring. The prim-
ary advantage would be the ability to work on level ground.

The djet (tet) is often a bundle of reeds when depicted in three
dimensions but this isn't really fatal either.
