Rich, thanks for posting this new reference from Katherine:
"Seb = Geb in lacuna; first image of Geb is known from Heliopolis where it appeared on the walls of the Pharaoh Djoser at Heliopolis during the Third Dynasty. Part of the Heliopolitan Ennead, pharaohs viewed Geb as an ancestor, but again, he had no independent cult (Simon 2002: 155). Simon, C. 2002. Geb. In D. B. Redford, Ed., The Ancient Gods Speak: A Guide to Egyptian Religion: 155. Oxford: Oxford University Press"
The other references to Geb and Shu are from T. Wilkinson and Quirke - see here my previous posting: [

Unless I'm missing something, the supposed Geb reference seems so tenuous I'm surprised Egyptologists refer to it in their books as it was a fact - as far as I can make out, its only a possible depiction of Geb.
Strudwick simply writes: "... figure of a god" with no mention of Geb.
The fragments are shown here: [

select 'Third Dynasty' - Netjerikhet / Djoser - scroll down page until 'Turin Museum' link embedded in text.
