Perhaps for the same reason that they put a 2-by-1 rectangle in a burial chamber for a king...
Perhaps for the same reason that they divided the walls of a king's burial chamber into five equal height courses...
Perhaps for the same reason they made the doorway of a king's burial chamber one-tenth the chamber's length and one-fifth of the chamber wall height...
Perhaps for the same reason that they put a raised floor in a burial chamber for a king (effectively giving the chamber two heights)...
Truth is, we don't know
why they did what they did in
any part of the Pyramid.
Without the original plans we cannot know for certain which parts of the design are intentional and which are coincidental.
At best we can start with the question: could they have put a 3:4:5 triangle into a king's burial chamber, had they wanted to?
IMO (based on several readings of AE Mathematical Texts - Rhind, Moscow, Leather et al) the answer is an emphatic yes.
But this is not to say that they did.
