"The city Bubastus was built in memory of me." -- Diodorus
-- Kind of a wierd statement by Diodorus. Herodotus seems to indicate Bubastus=Artemis... and that cats were mummified in the city of Bubastis (indicating Bast). Bubastis, I beleive is in the Eastern Delta (I have not done due diligence though). I don't want to delve too much into this as this topic is about Egypt Mythology and not the Greeks.
If anybody has some more info on Isis... then please post it. Maybe a random myth from a pyramid text? Maybe one of the original texts that Katherine mentioned like the Onuris myth above?
