Fascinating! Returning the braid- this is a term still used by certain desert tribes in the western desert. When the bodies of relatives are moved sometimes all that remains of a body after dogs and or grave robbers have gone looting is some plaited hair in braids. These are carried on special matts as if they were bodies and reburied in that particular families new crypts.
I want to clarify my previous query. I meant to ask what the myth of Isis and the Papyrus Island has in common with the Moses story. Also, I wonder if anyone here is familiar with Senemut's rendition of Isis in his mother's grave.
