Exactly. I do believe that if I had the time - which I certainly do not - I could challenge you to give me a major constellation visible to the AEs, which I would then somehow superimpose on Giza and trawl through AE history to find, littered here and there, just enough scattered references to this constellation to conclude something similar to the Orion and Cygnus correlations.

I honestly believe I could do it. What I could not do is what Robert, Scott and Andrew Collins cannot do either - produce an amount of contemporary cultural and religious evidence commensurate with the scale of the pyramids.

This is not to detract from the integrity or imagination of anyone who looks at these ancient things anew, and who tries to offer some explanations for some of the aspects of the ancient world as yet unrevealed to us. If alternate theories challenge us to sharpen our focus on what is real evidence and what is not, then they have a part to play - and who knows, some of them may turn out to be right. I have the utmost respect for those who question the status quo and who push the boundaries of what they term "orthodoxy", who are bold enough to take that leap of imagination - but even more respect for the empirical evidence which keeps us grounded in reality.
