RE Nefertiti.
I think I have seen this.
As I remember it, What he did was photograph it in a way that revealed that the sculpture had included much fine detail such as fine wrinkles that had never been noticed before.
Far from showing a less flattering portrait, it showed that what we see is indeed a real portrait of Nefertiti IMO, and it showed the full levels of skill of the sculptor.
That's how I remember it.
I get annoyed at these reconstructions in general - they generally ignore the fact that the sculptors of Egypt were probably able to produce a far more realistic portrait than the re-constructors can.
The Egyptians were very good at producing true to life portraits, as the Lovre Scribe and other great works like Hemiunu show, which are far from 'ideals'.
