Hermione: Do you have any evidence that the AE considered their pantheon to be members of an advanced race, or the survivors of a lost civilisation?

SC: There is clear textual evidence that the ancient Egyptians themselves believed their civilisation to have been of very extreme antiquity. However, for whatever reason, modern Egyptologists seem inclined to ignore this little fact. In the Royal Papyrus of Turin, for example, we are told that the Shemsu-Hor (followers of Horus) ruled Egypt for some 13,420 years until King Menes conquered the Delta region and unified Egypt around 4240BC, thus founding the so-called ‘First Dynasty’ of Pharaohs. This would seem to imply then that the Shemsu-Hor were ruling in Egypt from around 17,660BC! In other words - these people ruled in Egypt long before the Earth cataclysm of circa 11,500BP. They may well have been the survivors - the wise ones, the ancient 'Gods' to the later Egyptian dynasties.

I notice you have skipped over the reasons why I consider there to have been a plan for Giza - so here it is again (below). IMO this all but proves a plan had to have existed.

SC: I have better than that - I have the finished product, the end result! I have shown in various presentations that there are now too many correlations at Giza with Orion Belt stars for this not to have been the basis of a plan. I say this because the GOCT is not a simple eye-to-ground reproduction of what is seen in the sky at the time. The GOCT PROJECTS the location (i.e. max and min transit) of the Orion Belt stars 13,000 years into the future! This precessional motion had to be calculated first - hence PLANNED! And this is what we see with the relative positioning of the 2 sets of so-called 'Queens Pyramids' - the maximum and minimum culmination of the Orion Belt stars. Combine this with the pattern of the 3 Great Pyramids symbolising Orion. Combine this with the concavities of Khufu and Menkaure symbolising the pre-setting of Al Nitak and Mintaka respectively with Al Nilam already set below the horizon (Khafre has no concavities and so its star has set) occurring in 10,550Bc. Combine this with the three stars of Orion sitting on the SW horizon in 10,550BC being mimicked by the 3 Queens of Menkaure sitting on the SW horizon. One minute later the centre star sets below the horizon. Combine this with the azimuth of Mintaka matching Menkaure 212* in 10,550BC. Combine all this with the PTs that reference Orion and the evidence becomes compelling, IMO. This could not have been done without a plan.

Hermione: At a time the Egyptians called Zep Tepi (the First Time), Atum created two offspring. His son, Shu, represented dry air, and his daughter, Tefnut, represented corrosive moist air. The twins symbolize two universal principles of human existence: life and right (justice). The twins separated the sky from the waters. They produced children named Geb, the dry land, and Nut, the sky. When the primeval waters receded, a mound of earth (Geb) appeared, providing the first solid dry land for the sun god, Re, to rest.

SC: Again this is another interpretation. Interestingly though, it sounds rather like the 'mythical' flood stories we hear of from other ancient civilisations all around the world, don't you think?

Hermione: I would refer you to existing archaeological evidence. (I'm sure that other posters could supply you with plenty of sources to consult on this point).

SC: And I would point you to scientific evidence that is currently emerging that tells us of a catastrophic event in Earth's prehistory circa 11,500BC the effects of which are described in similar terms to your so-called myth described above.
