Well, the flyana article also stated that the alcohol was related with most of the violent/bizarre incidents. I think the idea is that the combination of the two could have a really bad effect. Maybe they should stop serving alcohol. I don't think that they are necessarily saying that the two are absolutely connected but perhaps a combination of factors are creating the effect of air rage in some passengers.

I do find it curious, however, that these kind of things are on the increase. There has to be a cause, whether or not our society is just spiralling out of control or it's something that has been changed about flights...
