> We might not be able to stop the effect (or so it seems from the reports...
I really can't understand people that 'think' that they can stop the forces of Nature! How egotistical is that?
It is all action/reaction...
> the Gulf stream has already slowed down for example), but by acting wisely RIGHT NOW
> we could eliminate some of the factors caused by our own stupid behaviour, at least.
Don't worry about that Nature will make sure to stop such 'stupid behaviour'. Just give it enough time and you will see...
Acting wisely will certain produce wisely reactions, the problem as always is the coordination of the 'wise' behaviors...
That, of course, requires a lot of force...
In addition, there is the definition of what wise behavior really is in a degenerating society! For example, when most houses are still being made with wood, I do you expect to stop cutting trees! When most cars and airplanes, etc, are still using oil, how do you expect to stop CO2 emissions...
Some people here in these discussion boards have their minds completely outside natural reality and in addition, somehow you expect that you can "solve" these problems via legislation through some corrupt government or another or via some contract/agreement or another!!!
Only when Nature starts acting and destroying a few more cities like NOLA is when there will an immediate reaction because there is no other choice. It all becomes an issue like survival and this exactly what has been going on for millions and millions of years...
Why, for some reason, some people felt that today things are different than forever and ever before is what begs the question what is really going on in your minds!!!
..and, of course, since I only call a spade a spade, some just simply cannot handle the real truth. That's the problem, I believe...
