Kat,
I disagree. The "vast majority" say there's no link. I'll compare my 18,000 scientists to yours and we'll see whose got the bigger list...lol.
The bottom line is the methodology. There was a time when the "vast majority" of scientists thought the sun revolved around the earth. Evidence eventually proved them wrong. All I ask is the same standard be met here. How many times have we heard that science is not a democracy? Correlation is not causation? (or worse... correlation is not indicative of intent?)
I'm not hostile...just asking for the proof before we sink our economy (and thus the world) into economic oblivion.

Allow me to add some documentation to support my claim of 18,000 scientists. I apologize for my failing memory. It was 17,000.

• A consensus comprised of nearly all scientists agrees that humans are causing a global warming crisis. Not only is there no such "consensus," but, if anything, the situation is opposite from what the global warming alarmists claim. When one of the authors of this essay (Dr. Arthur Robinson) briefly circulated a petition opposing the Kyoto treaty among American scientists, he received, by first class mail, about 17,000 signatures. The petition stated:
We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.
There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.
With more resources for printing and mailing, probably 50,000 signatures could have been obtained from American scientists. The signatories included Dr. Frederick Seitz (past president of the National Academy of Sciences), who wrote a cover letter for the petition, and a long list of America’s most accomplished scientists. (For a complete list of the signatories, two-thirds of whom hold advanced degrees, go to [
