Yeah, you have to wonder about the commonsense there when they burned it down. Wouldn't that old of a home stand out like a sore thumb? Ah well...

It sounds like the kids are really learning some things from the whole project, which is great. Kids can really get into this kind of thing. When we go out to the ranch, my son will look for potsherds and holler if he thinks he sees one. I'll take a look and see what he's found, telling him a little bit about how that particuliar piece was made. He absolutely loves it and he's just 9.

Kids are pretty cool and can get into things outside of video games and tv...
