> So are you saying your (not your's explicitly) mouth speaks your thoughts before you
> actually have them?
Well, you will need to fully comprehend first what a thought really is! Like how do you know that the thoughts are yours to start with? Maybe they are only yours if it is a secret to you or maybe not even then!
If you're seeing something (like a big fool moon) or hearing something or smelling something, etc, etc, there is always an immediate reaction to those senses. Like if you touch a hot surface you will imeediately jerk your finger/hand out from it...
What your mouth speaks are not always structured thoughts but rather automatic reactions. Like some one asks you "how are you doing" and you may say "great, thank you" or some other automatic response...
> How can you say anything unless you have actually formed the thought in your head?
Very easy, based on action/reaction or automatic responses which in many cases becomes "learned" behavior as one is growing up...
> I imagine speaking the thought before complete is possible but not spoken before
> it is even formed in your brain.
Not exactly! You should read Julian Jaynes, The Origin of Consciousness in the Break-down of the Bicameral Mind...
How do you "think" or visualize that "thoughts" are "formed" in your brain!? Do you think that they have "objective" form!!!???
Close your eyes, think of a tree, what tree do you see? Fruit Tree, Pine Tree, Redwood Tree, etc?
Close your eyes, think of the moon, what moon do you see? Full moon, half moon, etc?
How specific and detailed are your thoughts?
