I have to admit "Chariots of the Gods" was a book my parents had and which I found amazing when I read it
Its this whole thing where those who find something in ourselves and the world around us, and the stars above and the whole universe, to be more magnificent than "some random chance", cling to anything amazing as some kind of partial explanation of the momentary experience of the beauty of it all. Knowing what I know now, I call it "trying to crawl back into eden"
By focussing on truth as our goal, we can have the benefit of the space for that deep reality inside us to have the space it needs, along with an ability to take or leave anything else as we find it at the time, honestly. It gives the amazing ability to freely say "I was wrong". Mea Culpa. Thats a great thing. The road to truth.
