Hello Simon,
I'm back! Well, I hadn't left here, actually. A thick, night-time fog has settled over the UK's south-west coast, so I've had to postpone my trip to Devon.
You write: "when you make outrageous accusations of ignorance that are in themself ignorant,..."
Put like that, my approach seems rather silly. Never mind. Nature of the Beast, and all that. Anyway, I'm English born and bred, so I'm allowed to be at least a little eccentric. Er, aren't I?
You write: "The good people in my book are the ones that question with a sincere intention to learn."
I have a thirst for knowledge of all kinds, and I quite enjoy learning about various things (I have an
awful lot of free time on my hands - poor health, retired early), and if anybody here is prepared to put up with my now and again bumbling, sometimes erratic, once in a while nonsensical, occasionally illogical posts, then I am more than prepared to read and take in (hopefully) what they have to say.
Naturally, I can't guarantee that I will agree with what they say (though I usually at least try to explain why I disagree), but I most certainly will not simply ignore what they have to say.
I have met and dealt with people who ask questions without any intention of considering the answers. We all know the type: Don't bother me with facts, my mind is made up.
I try and avoid them, and I also try to avoid becoming one of them
Kind regards,
Alex
