Well I can chime in here!
I had a hard time convincing Jenny that the Cherokee dancers we saw at DeSoto Caverns were really Cherokees ... she kept insisting they were just dressing up like Cherokees because she saw them arrive in "normal" attire .. go into a tent .. and come out in their dancing outfits. They did walk around between shows in their dancing outfits because it was just too much to change back and forth all days long (the feather dancer only kept on the bottom half of his outfit though and wore just a reg. t-shirt on top.. don't blame him after seeing that outfit!).
