I have to admit that, when I used to take youngsters caving, my rule was: "If you wish, you may each use expletives, but three times only. Save them until you <i>really</i> need them."

But, in class, or anywhere else in school, anyone using the "f-word" or similar is out of the lesson and into the disciplinary procedure. Anyone swearing <i>at</i> a member of staff is immediately suspended.
