I don't get this either, Peski. Apparently, gone are the days of getting one's mouth scrubbed with soap (only happened to me once) for saying a bad word. Sometimes, I think we are way too lenient with our kids and that is going to be our downfall. Othertimes though, it seems like schools in the US do some really stupid stuff and punishments to the extreme.
Swearing should be one of the things that they do keep control over. What is schooling but preparing one for living life outside of school and maintaining a career? How are they helping matters if students can swear five times? Probably wouldn't fly if they are working at a bank and slip that one out.
