For my part I also have a silver Kokopelli necklace ... I've been interested in Kokopelli for some time ... for one thing as a fellow flute player I enjoy seeing such an ancient representation of someone enjoying their music ...I also find interesting just how far and wide you can find ancient rock art of this deity!! I remember a couple of years back they found him in Canada!
Besides the necklace ... I have a Kokopelli Christmas tree decoration (hhmmmm what to make of THAT!) ...and a couple of throw pillows with Kokopelli on them....
As far as disrespect goes ... I can't answer that ... I had a person complain to me one time before about the disrespect to the ancient Egyptian gods with our Heb Sed flash.
But you know .. Kokopelli was such a fun loving soul like you I think he'd love it ... and realize his power to appeal hadn't been lost. And how can you not love him with his hair flying and his body bent over his flute... he must have been really having a good time!
As I sit here I'm surrounded by images of the Egyptian gods in reproduction statuettes and papyrus.... are these disrespectful?
