My problem with KFC is that you end up spending money for an unacceptible amount of breaded chicken fat and bone on the alleged breast pieces. If I wanted ribs and backs, I'd cook 'em myself.

It used to be different. My first encounter with the beast was in the '60s, and the pieces were large and meaty, with only as much bone as you would explect on a breast piece. It was terrific!
